Bato WD observes World Water Day 2016
Water is one of the most important substances on earth. All plants and animals must have water to survive. If there is no water there will be no life on earth. Water plays a vital role in the health and survival of human beings. "Since the 'water' we drink provides for cell function and its volume requirements, the decrease in our daily water intake affects the efficiency of cell activity.
With two thirds of the earth's surface covered by water and the human body consisting of 75 percent of it, it is evidently clear that water is one of the prime elements responsible for life on earth. Water circulates through the land just as it does through the human body, transporting, dissolving and replenishing nutrients while carrying away waste material.
LWUA Memorandum Circular No. 003-16 dated February 15, 2016, LWUA encourages all Water Districts in the country to conspicuously display World Water Day streamer in their offices and in other places within their areas of coverage.
The Bato Water District (BWD) joins the nation and the world in the observance of World Water Day 2016 celebrated every 22nd of March. A streamer was displayed in front of the office.
This year's theme is "Water and Jobs" to promote occupations and professions related to water and the difference they make in every person's lives.
